Grinding Away!

There were plenty of Flounder to be caught last week. I know several people that had there limit including my self on one trip but not a lot of big fish like you would expect… On one trip we had 11 Flounder and I bet we didn't have a fish over 2.5 pounds. That is still a nice catch but this time of year there should be a lot of 4 pound plus Flounder to be had. I guess the Flounder run still isn't in full swing yet. We also caught quite a few Trout with only two fish in the 3 pound range. The tides are still running way above normal and the water is DIRTY!!! We should see that changing soon I hope and I will be able to get some Flounder gigging trips in. Due to the extra high tides the back water Reds have been a hard bite at least for me. I've been catching a few but not like it should be. {%image_id=6465%} If you like Croakers and Yellow mouth Trout the river is crawling with them. On a 4hr trip this past Saturday we sat in one spot the whole trip and caught 30 Croakers and our limit of big Yellow mouth Trout. When I say big Yellow mouth I mean in the 2 to 3 pound range which is big for that type of Trout. {%image_id=6466%} Tight lines Capt.
