Inshore/nearshore report Jacksonville area waters

Inshore fishing genarally continues to improve here in NE Florida. We had a slight setback last week with record low temperatures and strong winds, however, the coming week looks very promising with temps above 80 most days. Some larger speckled trout have moved into the area and are being caught from the inlet rocks all the way to Jacksonville. This week topwaters should be productive as the water warms. Some nice sized yellowmouth trout are hanging out at the jetty tips. Bluefish are still around and jacks are being caught regularly also, along with spanish mackerel. I have heared of ladyfish catches, too. {%image_id=4456%} Sheephead and drum are biting, though the drum are less dependable. Redfish are not thick at the jetties, though you will get one every now and then. The creeks are yielding similar results.
