I had great success on schools of redfish last week in deeper water. The strong winds have the water somewhat muddy in the shallow areas of the creek systems. We still were catching a good amount of redfish and flounder, but the bigger fish are being found in 8 to 20 feet of water. Deep water along the turns in bigger creeks and drop-offs right along the Intracoastal Waterway has the redfish schooled up. I have had the best action on the higher outgoing tides. Soft plastic swim baits in white and chartreuse colors fished slowly along the bottom have produced an easy limit of specks each trip. Higher falling tides around the little jetties, St Johns River and ICW are great places to find trout, bluefish and ladyfish. {%image_id=9276%} {%image_id=9274%}
