This time of year we have a great Black Drum migration. For some reason these brutes pick our general rea (northeast florida) to spawn. Usually from the middle of March through the middle of April you can catch Black Drum upwards of 100lbs with cut blue brab, clams, etc.. On 03-14-12 we fished offshore and caught numerous black sea bass offshore. Due to unnecessary government closures, black sea bass are closed to harvest. So with that we came back into the river and began to fish the St. Johns River for black drum. We ended with 4 fish from 35-65lbs. These are our breeders so I'd recommend you release these fish. A 50lb fish could be over 40 years old and will lay millions of eggs in our estuaries for the future stock of good eating sized fish. Enjoy the fight, take a picture, and release them to spawn. http://www.teambuckrogers.com {%image_id=26053%} {%image_id=26052%} {%image_id=26051%} {%image_id=26050%}

Tight Lines,
