Another gigging trip in the books for 2010. There was only about 2 hours of dark left at the right tide to gig last Sunday morning so I took some rods to do some fishing when the sun came up. {%image_id=14943%} Since we didn't have long to Flounder gig we were limited to one area and I guess considering the time at hand we did pretty well. We ended up with 8 Flounder in the 3 to 4 pound range… {%image_id=14942%} Then it was off to throw artificial for Trout. We didn't find many decent Trout but we did get into the Reds. Throwing sinking twitch bait we boated 5 Red fish in the 24 inch range and only 2 small Trout. The Red fish were a great fight on the light tackle and the way they hit that twitch bait is exciting… {%image_id=14944%} So we headed to the house at the time most people were starting out with a nice box of fish. What a great way to start the day! Capt. James Howard inshore charter fishing Jacksonville Florida (904)651-9557
