The water current is normal at 4-5 mph and North. The water temp is 86 degrees. There are still plenty of Bonita to be caught. They are smaller than usual. As is typical this time of year, you have to get them to the boat fast to avoid letting the sharks get them. If you do get them to the boat, they make excellent bait to catch the large Bull sharks that are everywhere. The weed has been stacking up in patches and along rip lines. You'll find plenty of Mahi Mahi under the weed. You'll need to work through the smaller ones to find bigger keeper fish. There are still some Black Fin Tuna around, but they are spread out. The ones you do catch tend to be larger then the schoolies. We did manage to catch 1 Sailfish this past week. Although it's not useful to target them, it's always wise to have a surface free line with a Blue Runner at the end of it. www.BlackAttackFishing.com
