Sailfish showing! Sailfishing has picked up over the last few days. Sunday and Monday we had shots at 4 sailfish, landed two. All bites have come in and around the 200 feet depth range from Jupiter inlet north. Live goggle eyes and/or live mullet have been equaly effective. The weatherman is predicting another cold front so look for the sailfishing to improve. The negative side to this great action is that they are the only quality fish we've seen offshore. Many dolphin and wahoo have been caught by some local boats and while others get skunked. Over the weekend one of the drift boats had their limit of kingfish, honestly we haven't caught a king in the last week working the same area. Bluefish and mackerel are thick along the beach north of Blowing Rocks. Big jack crevalle are moving as well. In the ICW my neighbor told me he witnissed an all out blitz of jacks, ladyfish, snook, bluefish and more on the surface up in Hobe Sound. If it's too rough outside the inlet you may want to check that out. Check out www.reelfine.com for recent photos and info.
