Bonito muy grande! Along with the full moon came large "summer time" bonito. Cursed by some, blessed by others, you'll have a tough time not catching one. We chummed heavy and worked them on fly rods for spectacular action. Great news, time for sabiki's. I large school of spanish sardines and cigar minnows showed earlier this week just south of the Jupiter inlet in 30-40 feet of water. Large kings are on their heels, as well as few sailfish showing up by surprise. 90-150 feet will produce all of the above. Dolphin fishing was excellent this week but tapered off when the winds let up. Loads of ambmarines(not sure of spelling) a sub-species of the amberjack have been crushing baits right under the boats. Between the bonito and the jacks we have had some tough battles fighting these guys. But who's complaining? As anticipated the best fishing of the season is upon us, so forget the yard-work and fire up that outboard, you won't be disappointed.
