Light Wind Proves Deadly for Sailfish and Dolphin Today Updated Report Cutting Edge 3/13/01 A light southeast breeze was all it took to get the kites up and the goggle eyes out. It only took a few minutes after that to get a bite. First it was a Dolphin, a nice bull and a medium cow. Both bit in 90 ft. of water off Triumph reef. Next came the Sailfish, a double that we got one out of. Several boats that were fishing all day had double digit sailfish catches. The fish were in the area south of Fowey Light and north of the Beacon. They were biting Goggle eyes and Threadfins best. If you’re fishing tomorrow the winds are supposed to come up and I think the fishing should be excellent. Sailfish and Dolphin should be around in good numbers. Our catch report for the Day totaled 35 Dolphin a few bonitos and a sailfish. We missed several sailfish and released a couple of small amberjacks. Tight Lines Capt.
