Break away Day Friday was a day when I was a bit nervous, I had a great customer that did not catch a whole lot on his last trip. Though he has been chartering us for at least 7 0r 8 years and to that point always had a fantastic result. The fishing had been up and down and I was not sure what the weather change was going to produce. I started at the Ulta freeze and caught a few kings and a mackerel. The action slowed so we decided to take a ride offshore and search for Dolphin. That was the ticket. A eel grass line in 1,000 ft/ and a few floaters and we were on our way to our limit of dolphin and a 44 pounder to boot. The fish were all nice. They were biting live cigar minnows and pilchards. On the edge the sails are still scarce. A few here and there but nothing consistant. Tight Lines Q
