Fishing Picking Up Today we used only about half the day to find a limit of seventy five dolphin. The fish are getting bigger and smarter. It took everything we knew to get them to bite but they would eventually fall for the live pilchards and Blue runners. They are in the 3 pound range and we caught two in the twenty pound range. The fish are under floaters and birds. The fish are moving to the north of course under the floaters that are drifting north and the fish under birds have for the most part moving south. They are moving fast and are not easy to keep around the boat. When they are eating small flyers they chase them and sometimes don.t return to the pack. If I were going tomorrow i would concentrate on getting as much small bait as possible, if you know a bay spot with small pilchards you will be one up on everybody else. On the edge we caught a sail the other day and have heard of small kings biting on the outgoing tide. Bottom fish have been scarce. If you would like to fish with me on the cutting edge call me at 305 -361-9740
