A great day of Fishing Today you could not have asked for better fishing and weather. We fished two half days and found the fishing to be about as good as you can have it with the conditions we had. No current and tons of grass, the water was powder blue. But the fish were tailing through. We caught two in the morning and one in the afternoon but saw a few more and caught a couple of dolphin and kings in the afternoon. What made it special was the fact all the fish were caught by kids, all under the age of 11. It was so much fun to watch. The fish have been to the north this week, for some reason. But with the north wind I am expecting for the fish to begin moving more and that will spead them out. Tight lines Sad news today on the fishing front A great friend to all fisherman in the Miami area passed away this week. At a very young age Joey ( Tomato's)left the sea and land for that matter on Tuesday afternoon. He went in for a heart operation and never made it out. He is a great guy and liked by everybody. He fished from his scarab sport and his flats boat. He could be seen fishing the edge in the morning and tarpon in the afternoon in his skiff. I had many great times fishing with Joey. He was always laughing and having a great time. He will be missed by me and all of his fishing buddies. We miss you JOEY
