Cobia< I mean COBIA Well Sunday was a day that brought in a few quality fish instead of a box of little fish. We started off searching the sand bars for rays and cobias. We look for a while and then came the prize. A huge ray with about twenty Cobia. Lots of small fish but a couple of prizes. At first cast we lured a nice fish to the surface were we casted a pinfish bingo, a fifty pounder. Next came a bunch of through backs, Fish in the 10 to 12 pound range. Finally I thought I saw a big fish right on the back of the ray, I was right. We got a perfect cast on the rays back and the fight was on. One and a half hours later the fish was in the boat. SIxty Four Pounds on twenty pound spin. A huge fish !! Later in the day we worked out to the edge in search of Sailfish but missed the only one we saw. We did catch a huge Kingfish in the thirty pound range The Kings are in eighty ft. and the Sailfish 120. Today we caught two sailfish and a dozen Dolphin. The fish are off Key Biscayne and in 12o ft. Good Luck and excuse the sloopy grammer. Its late and I fish tomorrow and need to hit the bunk. tight lines q I will post a picture of the cobia soon
