Sailfish Migration north has begun The annual northern Migration of Sailfish has begun off the Florida Coast. This month Sailfish will be Balling Sardines off the coast in around 600 to 1000 ft. The fish move north this time of the year using the current to help them along. With the Sardines migrating South there is a collision. The Signs to look for are Hawks on the Water, possibly multiple hawks. It is tough to get baits on some occasions but usually you can approach from the north and toss a live pilchard or sardine into the ball, and get a bite. Try to move slowly to not spook the Sailfish. Some times there are up to 10 sailfish on a ball of bait. This time of the year it is not uncommon to see three or four balls of bait at a time in the same area. This past weekend we saw three areas with fish at one time. Dolphin fishing has still been fair. Some Wahoo have been showing up also. Trolling has produced the most bites. It is an exciting time of the year, don’t let it pass you by. Tight Lines Quinton Get your Favorite Charter Boat Tees at www.boatandfishshirts.com paste and click
