Stiff North East breezes and cooler temperatures (75 degrees) did not sway anglers Ron from Lakeland, FL and Carl from Poca, West Virginia. We tucked up behind a large mangrove island in the Lower Keys and right off the bat we encountered schools of mudding bonefish with the occasional interuption from a cruising permit. The duo caught a variety of sharks, jack crevalle, and barracudas. Later in the afternoon we tried a baby tarpon spot and saw some rolling, however, we were not succesful in getting one to eat. From there we went out to the Gulf and drifted the grass flats. We ended this awesome Keys day with both releasing a sea trout.
