Tarpon Winds are Blowing In! Finally, the winds have shifted into the prevailing East-Southeast and the Tarpon action is beginning to heat up on the flats. We are getting numerous shots at strings of Tarpon on shallow flats, laid up Tarpon in basins, and there are even a few "channel fish" to cast to at first light. While the forecast is for the winds to freshen to 20 knots by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, at least we have a positive wind pattern established for a change. When it gets a bit windy, then we may have to find more channel Tarpon or laid up Tarpon than strings of cruising fish. Here is a Tucker Murray hooked up to a 120 pound silver king. Our Father (Mother) - Son (Daughter) Key West Flats Fishing Trips are now scheduled for throughout the summer, fall and winter.
