Bonefishing Still Hot! There is nothing like fishing with friends on the flats. Especially when the fishing is hot like it has been for Bonefish this fall. Here David Wipf and Capt. Dexter share a double hook up moment back to back!Sometimes tailing Bonefish will be so intent on feeding that the fish in the back of the school won't notice when a lead fish is hooked. That is just what happened here, as David made the first cast and hooked up with a nice 5 pound bone. Not more than 20 seconds later, Capt. Dexter then made a cast to a few in the back of the pack that were still tailing and hooked up a Bone that was around 6 pounds. Here Dexter and David revive the fish together just feet from the staked "FlatsMaster". Later that same day, Capt. Dexter and David followed a hooked Bonefish into the mangrove bushes. This fish weighed in around seven pounds and was so wrapped around the mangrove roots that it was like he had trapped himself in a web of fly line and mangroves. David ended the day with a nice four pound Bonefish missle shown here. All totalled, we had landed six Bones and lost another five to sharks and mangrove roots. All in a days fishing! Our Father (Mother) - Son (Daughter) Key West Flats Fishing Trips are now scheduled for throughout the summer, fall and winter.
