Tarpon Red Hot! April 30, 2006. Tarpon Red Hot as April breezes into May. Thousands of Tarpon cruised by "FlatsMaster" on Friday, April 28, and some of them stopped by for a "Capt. Dexter's Black Death" snack. The migration is now in full swing and those of you who need a Tarpon fix should be flying down to the Keys for some spectacular action during the next few weeks.For those anglers who want some Tarpon season dates, there are still a few dates left in May and June to battle the Mighty Silver King on the long rod.
