Wet and Wild Giant Tarpon in the Keys! May 31, 2006. Tarpon are Wet and Wild here in Florida Keys as anglers battle the silver king in and out of the boat! Here is “grasshopper” Greg Persbacker making whoopie with an estimated 170-180 pound silver king. Greg revived the fish after just a 40 minute fight. After the battle it was a face down angler-floater that had us real concerned! The mighty large fish was played. In the Marquesas Greg had more luck with this 150 pound fish. But not before the rod was pulled from his hands and he jumped in after it, fighting the fish as it towed him around! After all that action the rod shattered while the fish was landed and the angler needed to clean up!!
