March busts loose with Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit! March 9, 2007. Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit are Marching! February and March have been hot and cold for Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit. Frank Chevrie caught 3 Bonefish on a warm afternoon following a cold front. Jon Sigmond from Norway caught his first Tarpon, a 130 pound female silver king. There have also been many Permit caught on fly. And the fun is just beginning! As we head into the remainder of March, we should be catching many more of the Big Three! As we head into the middle of March, there is the March Merkin Permit Tournament to look forward to. Hopefully, we will catch them up and be in the running! Wish angler Mark Richens and Capt. Dexter good luck!We are also anticipating another push of Tarpon as the water warms into the high 70's. Bonefish should also continue to show as the water warms. Jon Sigmond caught several on the flats after catching his big Tarpon. When you are ready to book a charter or just talk fishing, contact Capt.
