Key West and Lower Keys

Tarpon Season! April 10, 2007. Tarpon have been the main target species during the last few weeks. They have been migrating into the channels and basins when the water warms to the upper 70's and 80 degrees. The action above was shot in the Lower Keys backcountry. A few of the fish have been in the 100+ pound category. One Tarpon in particular fought for over 2 hours before succumbing to angler will.
