Bonefish Schools Swarming the Atlantic Flats! November 13, 2007. For two consecutive days on the flats, we have encountered large schools of Bonefish on the Atlantic side of the island chain, west and east of Key West. The Bonefish have apparently adjusted to the cooler fall water temperatures and are out and about feeding. The mid-morning high tides have been the trigger bringing the push of Bonefish onto the flats to feed.
