The winter fishing in the lower keys and key west has been good for large baracudas, jacks, and when the weather is stable the permit fishing has been excellent. The tarpon are around and will be more prevalent as the months go on and the migration starts to progress. A battle with a winter time barracuda is one not to be forgotten as they strike like a bolt of lightning make long fast runs and leap into the area to try and throw the hook. The jacks are also a blast when schooled and feeding as they all make chase trying to devour your fly or lure. And of course theirs nothing like seeing a permit tail up while feeding and watching one take a properly presented fly or crab. Give us a call to get in on some the winter action the lowr florida keys has to offer.
