Dog Days of Summer

9-01-09 Welcome to the dog days of summer! For the last couple of weeks the fishing has been the same about 10-12 fish per trip 90% coming the first 2 hours of the day. The exception to the rule was a trip with Nick Kelly and his young friend we caught 25 fish and the largest a 7.5 lb.lunker. Fish early in the morning with medium shiners and finesse worms in the watermelon red and June bug colors. You can catch some in the afternoon but you have to contend with the summer thunderstorms.
