Redfish

There is a hint of fall in the air. The mornings are just a bit cooler. The water temperature is in the low eighties. Baitfish are starting their migration. The beach is choked with schools of small baitfish. Everywhere you go you can see mackerel busting bait schools. All the other fish are starting to take advantage as well. We had some monster high tides this week but fishing was good. There are quite a few small redfish wherever you go and the spawn is about to happen. We have been catching quite a few slot redfish as well as oversized reds. Snook have still been a little bit spotty but we have been catching a few on each outing. It is nice to see that some jacks have moved into the area too. Ladyfish, trout, and plenty of mackerel have been rounding out the trips also. I have had people catching a few smaller tarpon on each outing so the potential for a slam is a real possibility. Season is just around the corner. No is a good time to book a trip and have the water and options all to yourself. I'll see you on the water.
