An October Fishing Trip In Miami, Florida

It's been a long drought since my last fishing report. It's normal for business to be on the slow side this time of year. It always makes me happy when I get the opportunity to take someone charter fishing and that day finally came. Matt, Bob, and Drew came to Miami for a break. During their stay they wanted to fish for a half day and get out on the water. We started off with trolling the planers and that produced 2 kingfish. Next, we slow trolled herring on flat lines and the downrigger. The first several hits resulted in baits being chopped in half. Then we hooked a kingfish and added it to the fish box. After two more chopped baits, I put a stinger hook on. The action slowed until just about 2 minutes till lines out. The downrigger produced again and we added the final fish to the box. {%image_id=56151%} The downrigger saw most of the action when fished between 70 to 110 feet down. The flat lines only had 2 hits and they were both chopped baits. Captain Dave Kostyo 305-965-9454 [email protected] www.knotnancy.com
