End Of June Fishing Report

I hate to sound like a broken record but if you have read any of my previous reports I have spoken about mixed bag fishing. Well that trend continues into the end of June and the beginning of July. The fishing has covered the gamut in regards to species selection. The changing water temperature has also introduced some new fish into the equation. Barracudas and Sharks have shown up in large numbers. We have caught several Hammerheads and Black tip sharks in the past couple of weeks. The bonitos have also shown up in huge numbers bending several rods at once. Although not great table fare the bonitos are hard fighters. Mixed in with the Bonitos have been several blackfin tuna. One of the blackfins that we caught was the largest of the year. The mahi-mahi have also made a showing, although they aren't large in size they are rather numerous in numbers. The sailfish have slowed somewhat which is normal for this time of year. Although we have managed to catch one on every trip except we did except one. This will be the continuing trend for the time being as far as the sailfish are concerned. The tarpon continue to chew. I did multiple trips where we got 2 or more fish per trip. In addition to those tarpon we were able to add several jack cravelles. The fishing, overall, should continue to be steady. Well that is it for now and I do apologize for the delay in my reports. I have several days in July already booked but I do have several still open so give me a call if you interested in bending some rods. Untill next time.
