Holidays and Crowds Gone, But it's Still Warm

Lots of families took advantage of the holiday week, warm weather and friendly seas to go fishing. This young man received a 12" fishing rod for Christmas so John the mate rigged the rod with a sabiki rig and small lead. They were rewarded with several stringers of herring. {%image_id=51518%} Once the rod was properly christened, the boat took off for the shallow reef to tease up one more grouper before the season closed. The anglers were rewarded with a sizable grouper on the planner rod with a yellow-green weighted lure and 30' leader. {%image_id=51519%} The young ladies family came aboard the Blue Waters 2 but the wind was 25 knots out of the East! No fears, the crew put out special feathers and a very shallow planner and were rewarded with some bites. The largest keeper was the mackerel. {%image_id=51520%} The pictures illustrates that sometimes catching the fish is more fun than posing with the fish for a picture. We had great fun all week with anglers of all sizes and ages. Reserve now for the upcoming Sailfish season. Captain John Barker Blue Waters 2 www.fishingmiami.net 305-373-5016 (24/7)
