That's what Bruce had told me when he jumped aboard with his son. I made sure we start early for two reasons, 1: the best bite has been on the outgoing tide and 2: we need to beat the heat and avoid the 91 degree water temps we have been seeing by late morning. With that in mind we idled out of the marina for our half day trip and worked it. The first spot was slow so we moved off to another flat and the bites were coming but not the hooking. We broke the ice with Bruce hooking the first bonefish he got to eat and the pressure was half way off. But, we missed a few bites until his son was able to keep a hook in a bone and got his first one to the boat before we called it a day. Capt.
