Late March Fishing Report - Good Action

It's late March and the fishing action offshore has finally shown a sign of good consistent action. Sailfish, kingfish, dolphin (mahi-mahi), and bonito have been keeping my clients busy over the past several trips. Jeff and Jon fished a tarpon trip and two (2) offshore trips. Jon caught and released his first tarpon along with a kingfish during the tarpon trip. The next day it was a doubleheader sailfish, 3 mahi, 3 kingfish. {%image_id=42702%} {%image_id=42701%} {%image_id=42697%} {%image_id=42698%} The following day it was 2 sailfish, 2 kingfish, and a large shark. {%image_id=42696%} {%image_id=42699%} Brad's trip had him busy fighting 4 sailfish. Two on flatlines and two on the downrigger. Throw in 2 kingfish, and 2 bonito to round out the day. {%image_id=42695%} {%image_id=42694%} {%image_id=42693%} Fifth grader, Zach caught his first sailfish and a kingfish. His dad, Scott, added a large barracuda. We had a school of mahi-mahi swim up to the boat and they were in a playful mood. They took our bait and gave it back to us all mangled. {%image_id=42700%} This type of action will only improve as we get further into Spring. April should see more sailfish action, more and larger mahi-mahi, larger kingfish, and throw in some blackfin tuna along with cobia. Captain Dave Kostyo 305-965-9454 [email protected]
