Good Fishing! April continues to provide us with excellent catches of all sorts. Lately it's been difficult to predict what were going to catch next. Even though a lot of the emphasis still centers around sailfish, many are opting to take advantage of the calmer seas to seek out dolphin (mahi-mahi). Most dolphin are being caught around floating debris or weedlines while others are simply caught while sailfishing. Some of the dolphin being caught have been of excellent size. Over the reef kingfish continue to make a strong presence. Most of them are being caught on small live baits. Anglers looking for larger fish have been catching them using large baits and a number of different techniques. Tasty mutton snapper have also joined the menu this month and are starting to show themselves more and more often. Action on these bottom dwellers will should continue to heat up as we get closer to the next full moon. Aside from the kingfish, dolphin and muttons, another species that has made an appearance has been cobia. Most of these fish are being spotted and hooked near the surface usually around some of the artificial wrecks that line our cost. If you're interested in fishing this weekend give me a call. I just had a scheduled trip cancelled for Saturday and the weather is looking promising. Tight Lines, Capt. Orlando Muniz www.NomadFishing.com (786)266-0171
