Four friends visiting Miami on vacation booked the Blue Waters 2 for a short morning trip. Before their departure, the crew had already blackened the well with herring, cigars and pilchards. The edge looked ripe for fishing and the live baits were fired out. There was no wind for a kite so the lines went into the riggers and the captain bumped the engines in and out of gear, slow trolling the live baits. The bite was on when a kingfish skyrocketed from the deep while inhaling one of the baits. Within the next hour, the anglers had captured three sizable kingfish and a keeper dolphin.
