February 2014 mosquito lagoon

We have had some interesting weather for February in the Daytona beach area . This has made the fishing on mosquito lagoon interesting as well with good catches on some more spring time baits such as swim baits and top water . We should have a few more cold fronts before the end of the month that will make the bite more consistent on live bait . We have schools of red fish that have been feeding well if approached with stealth . Fishing the gin clear waters of the Daytona beach and New Smyrna beach in February can be extremely rewarding .
