Summer 2014 mosquito lagoon daytona beach to new Smyrna

The summer is here and with it we have a few different species of fish we can target of the biggest the tarpon . We have had tarpon around for about a month both in the lagoon and on the beach . We are seeing the tarpon around the bridges from Daytona beach down into the flats of the New Smyrna's mosquito lagoon. For the anglers interested in other species the red fish and trout fishing from Daytona down to New Smyrna has been great most days with limits coming using mostly live bait such as pig fish or mullet but good catches can come on top water and jerk baits .
