Great Week of Catching Backcountry Snook & Tarpon

It's been a great week of snook and juvenile tarpon fishing in the backcountry. We've been using a wide variety of flies in small baitfish patterns and artificials from jerk baits to top waters and plugs, casting along shorelines and structure including mangroves, stumps, and rock ledges. During a typical winter when we get consecutive back-to-back cold fronts, snook aren't as actively feeding but we've been experiencing prolonged warm fronts the past few weeks that bring snook into a more active feeding cycle. {%image_id=31030%} {%image_id=31031%}
