{%image_id=39727%}July has been nothing short of fantastic with big snook and tarpon catches. For snook and the abundance of snappers use pilchards with a 2/0 circle hook and 30 lbs leaders. Going a little smaller may result in the occasional break off when the big snook hits. Tarpon can be targeted getting out early in the morning before the sun comes up running the beaches looking for rollers and floating out some crabs or some catfish tails will result in a big hookup. The redfish bite has been very spotty but if you have the time try soaking some cut up ladyfish along troughs and mangrove points.
