Naples beach Snook fishing!

Beach fishing in Naples has been very strong so far this season when the winds cooperate. After a few days of onshore winds, the fishing got back on track last week with calm and clear water conditions. On Thursday, 6/10 I guided client Anthony from Houston, TX. He was relatively new to saltwater flyfishing and had never caught a Snook on fly, so I was eager to make it happen for him on foot. We hit one of my favorite stretches of beach, and had a fun morning. His first fish of the day about 20 minutes into it was a real beauty in the 10lb range. He followed that up by hooking 7 and landing 5 more over the next few hours of sight fishing on the fly.
