Its been a while since my last report and its been pretty busy here in Naples. The weather is changing and the fishing is really getting good. The only bad thing has been the lack of quality pilchards. The water is still a little to warm and all the rain isnt helping. Tarpon fishing was unbelievable for about two weeks in the middle of the month. We hooked almost 50 fish in 7 days. Live mullet, mackeral, threads, baitbusters and flies were all getting destroyed. They were feeding early in the schools of glass minnows. They slowly calmed down,but were still getting one almost every trip. Then they showed up big time again this past Friday and Saturday. We hooked four on Saturday on pinfish and baitbusters. Snook fishing has been a little off in my opinion. I contribute this to the lack of big pilchards. The small bais get the attention of snapper and jacks first. We have been getting some nice ones when the bait is good. Redfish have made a strong showing the last two weeks. I have been getting them good every trip out. They are mostly over slot in the 27-30in range. My client Jon Stott got a really nice 14lb fish last week on the beach. Yesterday John and Jen got some nice fish in the back bays. {%image_id=12147%} {%image_id=12146%} {%image_id=12145%} {%image_id=12144%}
