June has been a very productive month with lots of snook, tarpon, trout and redfish being caught from Naples to the Ten Thousand Islands. Here is Andy with his biggest snook to date at a nice 38inches. {%image_id=48723%}Get out early to avoid the afternoon storms and also bring plenty of water on the boat to stay hydrated. Bait has been challenging but with patience you can find the good pilchards, thread herring, and pinfish. I've found most of my success has come focusing on the start of the outgoing for snook and trout. Redfish still seem to be cruising along the deep mangrove troughs with good water flow and little bait pods hanging around the trees. Tarpon are still on the beaches and in the back bays.{%image_id=48490%} With the kids out of school get them on the water and fishing. They will end up having a lifetime of memories. Here is Luca Musico and Peyton Tice both winning there divisions in this years Gene Doyle Tournament.{%image_id=48492%}
