I think its safe to say Spring has come early here in Naples. Yes we will still get a few minor cold fronts, but I don't think they will affect the fishing that much. The last two weeks thinks have really got interesting. Snook have really picked up now that water temps are in the upper 70's to low 80's depending on where you are fishing. Live pilchards and big threads have been the baits of choice lately. I have had some days the last week where we have caught close to 30 snook in the 4-16lb range on a 4hr trip. The key is to find clean water and a good incoming tide. Redfish slowed around the full moon for me as they chewed good prior and then were hard to find. I did manage a few nice fish to 10lbs on live pilchards on big flood tides. The big news is the arrival of our 1st big numbers of tarpon. Im not going to go into detail other than they are here and are being caught daily. We managed 8 fish the last two mornings and we could only spend a few hours before wind and sharks got in the way. These fish will only get better over the next few months. Bad winds will make them impossible to get to some days, but thats ok. Till next time tight lines{%image_id=37285%}{%image_id=37286%}
