Naples Tarpon, Snook, Redfish 10/1/11

Fishing has really gotten good in the Naples area the last few weeks. The full moon a few weeks ago combined with a nw wind got the mullet moving and the tarpon showed off pretty good for a few days. We managed to hook 10 tarpon and got 2 snook over 20lbs. Then it was back to redfish and snook in the backwaters till this past week. Our pilchards are good size now and easy to catch and the redfishing has been very good. We have been getting anywhere from 5-20 reds to 28" depending on how much we fish for them. This week I ran four trips and we went 3-13 on tarpon to 70lbs, 100 snook with 3 over 20lbs and a good amount of redfish to 26". This small cold front that blew through over night should really help things get moving out on the beaches and in the backwaters. {%image_id=22749%} {%image_id=22748%} {%image_id=22747%}
