{%image_id=21904%}{%image_id=21903%}{%image_id=21902%} Its been a hot Summer so far this year and its been a while since my last report. The Spring tarpon fishing was great for my clients doing well both in Naples and Sanibel Island. Now Summer has set in and my fishing has been more for fun than work. I have been doing a few charters each week and the fishing has been great for snook, but the tarpon fishing hras slowed with all the freshwater runoff and lack of bait off the beaches. Pilchards have been on the small side, its good and bad. The action is great for snook, snapper and jacks which is good. The bad is I havent been getting many big snook as the smaller ones are to aggressive on the small baits. The night tarpon fishing has been fantastic on the outgoing tides fishing some of the local bridges. DOA Baitbusters are producing all of my tarpon and some nice snook too. The tarpon have ranged in size from 20-60lbs and we have hooked as many as a dozen in a few hours of fishing. These fish will also eat a fly as I have a few trips lined up next week on the better tides at night.
