Over the last two weeks the wind has been out of control. The biggest problem has been finding clean water to fish. The beaches have been rough and the back bays have been pretty dirty with all the wind. The bait situation has been pretty good with nice pilchards in both Naples and Marco. Focus on 13-18ft of water, and watch your bottom machine. I would suggets bringing a little chum to bring them off the structure. I have still been focusing on snook this month and they have been hot one day and tough the next. Fish have been in the 23-35in range. I have found bigger fish around docks with deep water. The big jacks, snapper, and gags have been mixed in with them. The points have held small snook and some trout to 22 inches. Once this weather flattens out I think the fishing is going to be red hot. Water temps are hovering around 76-80 which is perfect for here. Tarpon should start to show up and the snook fishing should be out of control. Get out there the weather is nice and fishing will be picking up.
