Current Surface Temperature on Lake Toho, Orlando

The past 2 weeks have seen a big change in our lake conditions as for water temperatures, hydrilla, bass movement and fishing patterns. Water temp has been on the down swing as a couple of cool fronts have moved our way. Water has held in the low 60's with still cool nights in the 50's and days in the mid 70's I think it is great and so do the fish. Hydrilla is still in the same places but seems to have stoped advancing although fish and wildlife have not sprayed and our hope is, they will not this fall and winter. Fishing patterns have been for the best as with cooler water, bass and crappie are improving, with good catches and size. Bass are on the outside of the grass, with the wind at your back. Crappie are in the open, drift in 10 to 12 ft water and fish deep. Keepers are in the 1 1/2 lbs and up. Fishing is good, so go and get her done. Captain Jim Pasmore 11/26/08 www.fishcentralfla.com
