Orlando, FL - Lake Toho, Clermont Chain & The Kissimmee Chain

Lake Kissimmee Today we spent the day on Lake Kissimmee with Mike from South Florida and his friend Kirk from New York. Water temp was running in the mid 70's with visibilty of less than a foot.We spent the entire day working the North Cove area, our plan was to use shiners half the day and soft plastics half the day. Mother nature had different plans in mind for us, with a light breeze to start the day out, it didnt take long for the winds to pick up and the chop on the water to follow suit. Pitching wild shiner to the edge of the grass bed on the wind blown side was the key on the extreme north end of the cove, which boated several nice sized bass to 4 pounds. From there we move over the the east side of the cove, with the winds now really blowing good, close to 20mph gusts, the guys were pitching the shiners to the wind blown side of the reeds, which boated a few pickeral when a very nice 7 pounder bass blew on shiner as it was slapping the surface. Tomorrow we take the guys out on Lake Toho for their final day before Kirk heads back to New York. Till my next report, tight lines and good fishing
