Gag Grouper, Red Snapper, and Bull Redfish

Our favorite time of the year to fish has finally arrived. The weather outside is just right(not to hot, not to cold) and the fishing is on fire in Pensacola Bay. All of Hot Spots Captains; Matt, Chris, Travis, Tyler, and Krueger love to bottom fish for grouper and snapper inshore. We have spent years trying to get this type of fishing figured out and we finally have it nailed down. There's nothing better than being able to land trophy size grouper and snapper within a couple miles of the marine without ever having to battle the seas that the Gulf of Mexico can throw at you. We fish in anywhere from 30 to 50 feet of water on small structure. It's nothing to catch a 15 pound red snapper or nice sized grouper. On all trips we use a combination of live and dead baits, often spending time before the trip getting the live well loaded up before the anglers arrive. After we have some fun with those we'll move onto Pensacola Pass or ride around Pensacola Bay until we track down some big bull redfish. {%image_id=23277%} {%image_id=23276%} {%image_id=23275%}
