Fishing report for the week ending 8-22-2010{%image_id=16860%} Snook have been primarily on the beaches and around the passes with the best times early and late, midday heat does nothing to get these fish active. I have been targeting redfish on the high outgoing tides on mangrove shorelines and oysterbars, live shinners or cut ladyfish work best. The reds have been on the smaller 20-24 inch range and numbers are down.{%image_id=16862%} Sea trout, mackerel, ladyfish and the occasional bluefish have been the most consistent anywhere you can find schools of bait. Some of the trout have been surprisingly good with 20-24 inch fish showing up regularly.{%image_id=16863%} Sharks are the ticket especially if you want something bigger. There are plenty of small blacktips and on a trip Friday we caught three lemons up to 80 lbs. Always a crowd pleaser.
