Snook are here again but it doesn't feel right

Snook of all sizes are still where they should often be but I have to agree with Capt. John Bunch about the pressure on them. With two months remaining before I return to guiding for trophy striped bass at Orient Point, NY, I will curtail my snook fishing guiding in respect for the fish. What's best for the fish should ALWAYS be the path to follow. The massive kill this last winter must be more seriously considered when making a choice of what a fishing guide should target. My specialty in Florida is Snook but I am going to give them a break. I hope others will do the same. The Snook is just too great a fish. Let's hope for a great spawn.
