With Snook season opening March 1st, we have caught several already with some in the upper slot. The bait I have been using has been shiners/white bait. There has been a lot of fish in the mangroves and around the oyster bars. It will take another month or so before they reach the passes. {%image_id=47306%} Big trout have been caught in the sand holes and around the oyster bars. Clients have been catching the trout on shrimp and shiners. Redfish have been tough with the low waters we've been having. The afternoon bite has been good on the higher tides. With the weather warming up, sheepshead fishing has still been pretty good with some of up to 6 lbs. Water temperature has been in the upper 60s. Once it reaches the lower 70s, fishing should be great with mackerel, bonita, and kingfish migrating north. Tight lines, Capt.
