Fishing Report 06-10-10 Sea's started at 3-4, and ended up at 2-3 out to 8A reef. They were actually fairly mild, and we enjoyed a dry ride in and out. Though one of my 4 guest had spent years on a Navy ship, He and the other 3 all provided chum for the water. I think it may have been more to do with their previous nights dinner than the sea's. The plan was a half day or so at 8A bottom fishing. Having never done this they just wanted some nice fish, They stated that their dream fish to catch was Mahi. Though we were not targeting this, I knew we had a chance if we stayed long enough. With all feeling under the weather, it was fortionate that the first fish caught on the flatline was a nice 12-15lb young bull Mahi. With Trigger and Sea Bass already caught, this made their day, and they felt good about calling it early and heading for solid ground. They all felt much better once the boat was in motion, and by the time we made it to Port They were already planning Mahi for dinner!
